Someone you love calls, scared, asking for money.
Is it really them?

AI clones a voice from 3 seconds of video. FamWord gives your family rotating secret words that a clone can never know. Read them aloud on any suspicious call — if they match, it's really them.

How it works

Set up together, onceScan a QR code on your child's phone. Takes 5 minutes at the next family visit. No accounts, no phone numbers.
A scary call comes in"Mom, it's me, I had an accident, I need $3,000 for bail…" — but the voice could be AI.
Ask for the words"What are your FamWords right now?" If the caller can't say the three words on your screen — hang up. It's that simple.

Questions

Does it need internet during the call?

No. The words are computed on each phone from a shared secret — like Google Authenticator. It works with no signal, on a plane, abroad. The only internet needed is once, during family setup.

What if my mom is not good with technology?

If she can read three words aloud, she can use FamWord. That's the whole interaction. Setup is done by you, on her phone, in person.

I changed timezone or I'm traveling — do words break?

No. Timezones don't matter at all: the words depend only on the exact moment, not on local time. Travel freely. A genuinely wrong clock does matter — if a phone's time is off by more than a minute, its words won't match. The app checks the clock whenever it can and warns you loudly; the fix is one toggle: automatic date & time in Settings. And if a clock is wrong anyway, there's a Challenge check inside the app that needs no correct time at all — you say 3 letters, the caller types them, both phones show the same words.

Is this different from a family "safe word"?

A static safe word can be overheard, leaked, or guessed. FamWord words change every 30 seconds — like a bank code, but made of simple words you can hear clearly over a bad phone line.

Can't scammers just watch the screen?

The scammer is on a phone call, not in the room. And since the words rotate, yesterday's words don't help today. For setup, you scan the code face-to-face.

What do you do with my data?

Nothing. Your family's secret never leaves the phones. There are no accounts, no phone number book, no servers holding your words. We literally cannot see them.

How much will it cost?

One family is free, always. Extended family (up to 6 people) will be a few dollars a month. No ads, no data selling — ever.
